Tucked into the hills of 'Creek Valley' (Apple Valley, Colorado City, Centennial Park, Cane Beds and Hildale) for 10+ years, local resident's had not had local healthcare. On December 18th, 2019 the Creek Valley Health Clinic opened.

As the clinic provided healthcare to locals they recognized many children didn't have hobbies that were productive, safe and fun. There seemed to be a widespread inability to positively cope with the stresses of life and the cultural history of the community.

Insert Richard Bennett, a life-long cyclist who was familiar with the Utah High School Cycling league and its positive impact on his own children and family. He approached his clinic co-workers, Nathan Barlow, PA-C and Benjamin Williams, DO about starting a local mountain bike team in Creek Valley to give kids and families a way to productively cope, have fun and build confidence in themselves.

These 3 men became the Coach's of a newly created Creek Valley composite MTB team and they joined the Utah high school cycling league (NICA Utah) in 2022. Since then, miracle after miracle have occurred in the community. Through this effort, hope and healing have created change and positive coping for youth and residents of Creek Valley.

Grab a box of tissues and hold onto your heart. These coaches are STOKE-disciples life we have never met.
